Do you know how Ozone can be applied for Medical Care?

Ozone must be seen as a strong option to be used in healthcare as a natural treatment for many diseases. The use of Ozone in medicine is known for more than a century, and its many results reinforce how the therapy must be inserted in our daily lives.

Learn more about how efficient can Ozone be and its many benefits below!

Ozone applied in medicine is known as ozone therapy, an oxidative modality and an effective therapeutic method that helps increase oxygenation, detoxification and immune stimulation.

Also, its inactive bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast and protozoa: because of its oxidative proprieties, it is able to disrupt the integrity of the bacterial cell through oxidation of the phospholipids and lipoproteins.

This natural therapy is used to disinfect and treat diseases, infections and wounds as well as chronic conditions by limiting the effects of bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and protozoa.

Ozone therapy has been used and extensively studied for more than 150 years. Ozone was considerable researched in Germany during the 1930s where it was successfully used to treat patients suffering from inflammatory bowel disorders, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease and chronic bacterial diarrhea.

Applied during the First World War to treat wounds, showing not only its ability to disinfect but, also to aid blood flow and produce anti-inflammatory effects.

How does it work?

There are four ways to apply ozone therapy:

  • Autohemotherapy – involves removing about one half pint of blood from the patient, adding ozone and oxygen to the blood, and infusing the blood back to the patient. It becomes a type of “auto-vaccine.” It has powerful healing capabilities as well as anti-inflammatory effects within the body. It also increases energy, circulation, eases pain in certain injuries and overall it boosts the immune system which helps in a patient’s overall health.

  • Rectal insufflation – ozone and oxygen are introduced into the body through the rectum. The ozone/oxygen mixture first reacts with the large intestine and beneficial chemical reactions follow. Once ozone and oxygen are easily absorbed through the walls of the colon, the treatment is more effective.

  • Ozone “bagging” – involves having an airtight bag placed around the area to be treated. A mixture of ozone and oxygen is pumped into the bag and reacts with the skin. This kind of treatment is more usual in big infections, wounds, diabetic feet and ulcers.

  • Ozone is also used externally in the form of ozonated olive oil or even water. These two applications are for daily use at home, through the domestic ozone generator. Ozone is a solution or medical care.

Ozone therapy effects

Once ozone therapy increases oxygen in the body, consequently it will assist in the organs function, hormonal regulation, anti-aging, digestion, memory and many other functions.

Nowadays, medical ozone therapy is common in some European medical clinics and over the last 25 years, it has gradually been spreading in America. Ozone in Algarve or Portugal, where Solution Ozone is located, it’s slowly being know.

According to The Madrid Declaration on Ozone Therapy (June 2015), the following conditions or diseases have been treated successfully with ozone therapy, either alone or in combination with other therapies: spinal diseases, including herniated disc and spondylolysis; orthopaedic diseases and localized osteoarthritis; painful disorders of musculoskeletal soft tissue; pathologies of the tendons (including tennis elbow and jumper’s knee); diabetic foot and diabetic-related ulcers; chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, herpes, candida and athlete’s foot, cancer, hepatitis, emphysema and Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and many more. Ozone is effective in medical care.

Ozone therapy must be administered according to establish protocols and by doctors that are specializes in ozone therapy. For humans, the adverse reaction to oxidative therapies is extremely small.

Benefits

    • Ozone is anti-viricidal and it has anti-inflammatory properties;

    • Oxidizes and degrades petrochemicals;

    • Inactive of bacteria, viruses and fungi;

    • Reduces pain;

    • Increases the efficiency of the anti-oxidant enzyme system, which eliminates excess free radicals in the body;

    • Normalizes hormone and enzyme production;

    • Enhances the blood circulation;

    • Stimulates the production of white blood cells, which are necessary to fight infections;

    • Increases red blood cell membrane distensibility, thus enhancing their flexibility and effectiveness;

    • Increases red blood cells pliability, blood fluidity and arterial O2;

    • Increases of tissue oxygenation;

    • Stimulates the reticule-endothelial systems, thus rebuilding tissue;

    • Enhances the formation of acetyl CoA (vital for detoxification);

    • Reduces the risk of complications from diabetes;

    • Improves brain function and memory;

    • Ozone is a natural treatment that helps to treat many diseases: arthritis, herpes, acne, eczema, hepatitis, tumours, cancer, ulcers, arthrosis, dialect foot…
