Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How we protect your data

We protect customer data with the following site features:

  • We are entirely using SSL/HTTPS throughout all our site. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so personal identifiable information is never captured by third parties without authorization.
  • Databases are sanitized (actual user personal details are removed) before deploying to development or testing environment.

In case of a data breach, System administrators will immediately go through affected users and will attempt to reset passwords if needed after informing the user.

 

What data breach procedures we have in place

Solution Ozone collects personally identifiable information in the following ways:

  •  Client Data
    When a company joins or subscribes to our Mailing list, we collect business contact data in the form (First and last name, Job title, Company, Work email address, Phone number, Town/city/state, Country, …). All personal data collected will only be used to process your client application and send you product information and occasional special offers or announcements. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
  • Human Resources Data
    Solution Ozone is always looking for new employees, and we are always pleased to receive solicited job applications. If you wish to apply for a position with us, please apply directly through our website. We only use your personal data for recruitment purposes. We do not disclose your personal data, except for the data processors we use in our recruitment procedure. Any personal data received from you with your application will only be used for the purpose of processing your application and will not be disclosed, except to Solution Ozone’s security-cleared data processors in connection with the recruitment procedure.
  • Events and Solution Ozone Conference Data
    Individuals within companies provide their corporate information to register for an event. During Conference and event registration, where information is voluntarily provided during event signup, we collect some information from you (First and last name; Job title, Company, Work e-mail address, Phone number, Town/city/state, Country, …). Solution Ozone events may be photographed and/or video/audio recorded for the purpose of reflecting the events in Solution Ozone publications and on the Solution website or social media.
  • Website Visitors’ Data
    In general, website visitors do not need to provide personalized information to Solution Ozone. We do collect “aggregate data,” that is, group data with no personal identifiers. We use this aggregate data to help us understand how the site is being used and to improve its usability. We also use it to enhance the quality and availability of products and services we offer. We also, with explicit permission, use aggregate data from online surveys you choose to fill out for research and publication purposes. If personal data is provided, and retained, it is only name, business contact email, and business contact phone number, which allow Solution Ozone to contact the visitor at his or her organization.

    Solution Ozone’s use of ecommerce is limited to registration for a limited number of events each year. Individuals within companies provide their corporate information to register for an event. We use the data collected in order to process billing and orders for products/services you choose to purchase on our website.
    We rely on fulfillment of contract as the lawful basis under GDPR Article 6(1)(b) for the processing of eCommerce Data.

 

What third parties we receive data from

In some cases, we collect your personal data from third parties:

We receive a limited amount of data via lead generation programs. Contacts can change email preferences at any time and opt-out by following the links included in Solution Ozone emails for this purpose.

 

Regulatory disclosure requirements
